Join "Youngsters' Science Festival 2019"
ROHM Wako Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "ROHM Wako") joined the local event "Youngsters' Science Festival 2019" on July 15th, 2019, and was our 20th times to join.
We conduct handcraft classes at the event by reason of offering opportunities for children to become more familiar and foster curiosity interest in science by experiencing fun and surprise through experiments. In 2019, we have conducted “LED Microscope” handcraft-class. Firstly, we explained about, "what is LED", "how LED works", "application of LED", and started the handcraft-class. The children participated had happy smile on their face after completing the handcraft and see LED shining.
Family Day Event
ROHM Wako is holding "Family Day Event" every year to offer families of employee an opportunity to know about the company, such as mission, business, and social activities.
In 2018, we held a handcraft classes and made 6 speed walking robot with infrared radar. It was a challenging one but each family was working together enjoying to complete it.
Workshop for Junior High School Students
ROHM Wako is inviting junior high school students from Kasaoka city every year to offer opportunity of workplace experience.
To offer opportunity for the students to create image of working, we will continue this activity and contribute to local people.
Cleanup Activity Around Our Facilities
ROHM Wako is conducting cleaning activities around facilities regularly.
Large amount of trash is gathered every time, and most of the trash was cigarettes and empty cans thrown away from the vehicles along the freeway Route 2.
