ROHM selected for FTSE4Good Index for 16th straight year and FTSE Blossom Japan Index!
As the widespread use of acronyms like sustainability and SDGs shows,
moves to solve social issues and change the world are seen in more and more parts of the globe.
This trend is not limited to enterprises like us but is expanding to the investment community.
More investors are taking non-financial disclosure of ESG (Environmental, Social, and
Governance) related information into consideration while making investment decisions.
In June 2019, ROHM has been selected as a constituent in one of the
SRI (Social Responsible Investment) indices, FTST4Good index, marking the 16th straight
year that ROHM has continuously demonstrating the outstanding performances on CSR practices.
FTSE4Good Index is provided by FTSE Russell* that has selected 1,034 companies worldwide
and 175 companies from Japan that have strong risk management performances on ESG
(Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.
Additionally, ROHM has also been selected as one of the constituents of FTSE Blossom
Japan Index, which is the ESG investment index selected by Government Pension Investment
Fund (GPIF) in Japan.
From now on, as a sustainable company, ROHM will continue to take initiatives in solving
social issues through business activities and aim to respond to all stakeholders'
expectations and concerns.
