REPI conducted a support drive for Taal evacuees
On January 12, Taal volcano erupted in Batangas province, Philippines.
Taal volcano is located on a small island about 60 kilometers south of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. And located about 35 kilometers south of REPI (ROHM Electronics Philippines Inc.) Carmona, Cavite.
REPI employees embody the "bayanihan*" spirit to support Taal Volcano evacuees.
REPI has provided relief supplies -- including grocery package, hygiene kits, sleeping mattresses, blankets and used clothes to the evacuees from Batangas and Cavite for 4 times from January 17 to 28.
*Bayanihan (pronounced as buy-uh-nee-hun) is a Filipino custom derived from the Tagalog word "bayan", which means nation, town or community. The term bayanihan itself literally means "being in a bayan", which refers to the spirit of communal unity or work cooperation to achieve a common goal.
